Renovating old lamps for the kitchen

We have a red coca-cola theme in our kitchen, so the red will figure in our newly renovated old lamps.

The lights were from an old hotel, where they had been since the 1960’s. The chrome needed polishing, and the inside was painted with a rather unmodern curry-yellow colour.

After dismantling them, and respraying their internals in “postbox red”, they got a trip on the polishing wheel in the workshop.

They were rewired and mounted over our kitchen table. The bulbs were swapped with Philips Hue LED’s that turn on automatically when you enter the room.
