I was working as a Citroën mechanic during the solar eclipse of 1999. It was not a total eclipse, but at 85%, it was one of the closest to being one, to cross Denmark, since the last total eclipse in 1851.
During the eclipse we all took a break, and stood out back to experience the phenomena in awe, while our surroundings darkened.
