As a history nerd, it is always a bit sad when an era ends. This time it is the former danish postal service that will cease delivering letters at the end of the year.
Already, they have begun to remove the characteristic red letterboxes that have covered the country for the past several hundred years.

I must admit that with the insane price of postage, I very seldom send a letter, so I wonder if the one that is sent today, will be my last.

The Danish postal service, has been sending letters for the past 400 years.
In the future it will still be possible to send a letter, but this will be handled by private companies, and together with packages.
They will be collected in a kiosk and not in a good old “post-red” letterbox.
How about you. Will you miss sending and receiving letters?
