Renewal of the Danish 400 kV powergrid

The past year, the Danish powergrid has been renewing parts of their 400 kV grid, yes, that is 400.000 volts).

First they dismantled the old pylons, and set up new identical pylons instead. The only difference seems to be that the new pylons insulators are thinner ceramic insulators, compared to the old glass types.

A few months later they returned with new powelines, and the process with steel plates as far as one could see, and cranes with men in baskets returned.
